To make one ton of paper towels 7,000 gallons of water are polluted, 17 full grown trees are cut down, 464 gallons of oil and 42 gallons of gasoline are burned. The EXTREMEAIR has the smallest carbon footprint of any method of hand drying – up to 86 less carbon emissions per 1,000 hand dryings than paper towels. The patented design is powerful and energy efficient, drying hands quickly with a small amount of electrical power.
We used government data to calculate the carbon emissions of the EXTREMEAIR hand dryer and other methods of hand drying. While all of our warm air dryers have low carbon emissions, the EXTREMEAIR outperforms all of its comparisons with the lowest CO2 emissions per 1,000 hand dryings. Its reduced power consumption and fast drying time uses 80-90% less energy than conventional hand dryers. The EXTREMEAIR hand dryer has been GreenSpec® Listed. This is an unbiased list of the most environmentally friendly products published by the editors of Environmental Building News. The EXTREMEAIR met tough GreenSpec standards because it uses 80 – 90% less energy than conventional hand dryers and reduces maintenance and waste.

The EXTREMEAIR is the first and only hand dryer to participate in the Certified Green Commercial Kitchen program. This industry-leading program was developed to encourage operators to go green in their commercial kitchens. Using the EXTREMEAIR qualifies for points toward this certification because it uses 80% less energy than other hand dryers and reduces landfill waste.

American Dryer, Inc. is the only hand dryer manufacturer to use 100% recycled packaging materials for its new products. Both the EXTREMEAIR and GX series use only 100% recycled packaging materials.
