American Dryer, Inc. was established in 1952 and has been creating quality hand and hair dryers for over 60 years.
American Dryer has been owned and operated by the Rabahy family for over thirty years. Today the company is operated by Daniel Rabahy who has been President since 1999. Daniel began his tenure with the company as Plant Manager back in1984 and has been instrumental in leading the company in the introduction of the revolutionary ExtremeAir Cold Plasma Clean (CPC) hand dryer.
Daniel believes strongly that excellent engineering and a keen eye for industry demands – including restroom hygiene, energy efficiency, sound and speed management, and accessibility for all users – will continue to differentiate American Dryer. Daniel recognizes that customer loyalty is built, not simply by meeting, but by exceeding expectations, and his management of American Dryer is predicated on doing just that.
Prior to Daniel’s leadership, American Dryer was operated by his father, Donald Rabahy. As Corporate Vice President for Masco Corporation, Donald was a part of the management team that took Masco sales from 25 million dollars to a Fortune 500 giant. Donald today acts as Chairman of American Dryer.
Joining the American Dryer team in 1998, Michael Robert is American Dryer’s Vice President of Sales & Technology. Michael holds numerous patents related to electronic and electro-mechanical controls. His design work has helped bring American Dryer to the forefront of the hand dryer industry.
Susan Ebbing, Daniel’s sister, served the company as Vice President of Sales from 1997 until her retirement at the end of 2013.
While running a successful business is a Rabahy family tradition, they also have a passion for helping children. In 1998, they established the Rabahy Foundation to assist underprivileged children and their families. In 2007, Donald and his wife, Rosemary, were honored by the United States Congress and received a Congressional Resolution acknowledging their contributions to both industry and the community.
Today, American Dryer sales have expanded to over 30 countries and it is one of the most successful hand dryer companies based in America. Well-executed expansions, quality improvements and innovative new products have insured the ongoing success of the company.
