Donald Rabahy is Chairman and CEO of American Dryer, Inc., established in 1952.
With over 50 years of corporate business experience, Donald Rabahy has a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He has helped large and small companies become more lean, focused, and profitable. Joining MASCO Corporation in 1967 as Corporate Controller and later as Corporate Vice President, he was part of a management team that saw sales skyrocket from 25 million annually to becoming a Fortune 500 giant. Brands included such household names as Delta Faucet and Merillat Cabinets. In later years, he was President of Flint & Walling, a conglomerate of manufacturing companies. Then in 1985 he pursued his dream of owning his own business and purchased American Dryer, Inc.
Donald’s son, Daniel Rabahy, has worked alongside his father since purchasing American Dryer over 25 years ago. Daniel Rabahy began as Plant Manager, was promoted to Vice President, and has been serving as President for over 14 years. Under Daniel’s leadership, the company has continued to improve quality and service while developing higher-performance, energy efficient products.
Dan’s operation acuity gives the company a unique advantage, from the inception of a product to the completion of the unit. He has been instrumental in developing the company platform that earned American Dryer its reputation for high quality products delivered with unparalleled same-day service. Dan’s strong fundamentals have propelled American Dryer, home of the EXTREMEAIR, into one of the largest and most successful hand dryer companies in America.
In 1996, Donald’s daughter, Susan, joined the company as Vice President of Sales. Susan has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience. She was a Regional Vice President and Partner of one of the largest real estate investment firms in the United States. She has been a Regional Vice President of three national investment firms: Interpool, Captec Financial, and Hall Financial Group. Susan has been a motivational and sales training speaker on a national basis for over 25 years.
In 1998, Michael Robert joined the company as Vice President of Technology. He brings over 20 years of engineering experience in electrical and mechanical product design. He was President and Partner of Electro Pneumatic Innovations (EPI), an automotive tooling supplier. He holds numerous patents related to electronic and electro-mechanical controls in the fluid power industry. His design work has helped to bring American Dryer to the forefront of the hand dryer industry.
Today American Dryer proudly offers a variety of well-crafted products and has earned the respect of buyers in leading companies around the world – companies like Coca-Cola, Tyson Foods, and Verizon. It has done the unthinkable in developing products that interest the large corporations that demand cost effectiveness and user efficiencies, all the while retaining the loyalty of smaller, closely held businesses like itself, led by individuals who appreciate American Dryer’s traditional time-honored practices of dependability and superior service.
For over 25 years, Donald and Daniel have led American Dryer to success. Well-executed expansions and quality improvements have insured the future success of the company they created, along with American Dryer’s record of growth and its rock solid management team, and of course, its newest generation of compact high-speed energy efficient hand dryers and the best industry service.
In 1998, Donald established the Rabahy Foundation to assist underprivileged children and their families for generations to come. In July 2007, Donald Rabahy and his wife, Rosemary, were honored by the United States Congress and received a Congressional Resolution acknowledging their contribution in both industry and the community.
